Hi, I’m jenny.

I am passionate about helping others live their most authentic lives, walking with them in their joy, their sadness, and the multitude of feelings in between. I work from an internal family systems, attachment, and trauma-informed perspective that takes into consideration each person’s uniqueness, qualities and story.

I understand seeking therapy can be a difficult decision, and I am so glad you found your way here. My goal is to provide you with a safe and supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make transformative changes in your life.

“Hope” is the thing with feathers -

That perches in the soul -

And sings the tune without the words -

And never stops - at all -

And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -

And sore must be the storm -

That could abash the little Bird

That kept so many warm -

I’ve heard it in the chillest land -

And on the strangest Sea -

Yet - never - in Extremity,

It asked a crumb - of me.

More

I am a wife and mother of children and dogs, and live with my active family in the Bay Area of California. We love our rescue pups, as they are hands down the heart of our home. I’m certainly much like every other parent, thinking I’ve got a minute to myself to finish a quick task when I suddenly realize I should have left the house five minutes ago to get my child from their after-school activity, and inevitably wonder what we are going to eat for dinner as the evening commotion ensues. Besides the normal chaos of life, my career - which I love - is to listen. Slowing down on a daily basis for my clients compels me to do the same thing for myself. Being present, and offering myself the kindness and understanding that I give others, helps me be the person that I desire to be. I am a work in progress, and at the same time, show up for my clients authentically and transparently. It is truly a privilege to be able to care for others in this way.

My professional experience started well before my own children came along, working in foster care and adoption in an outpatient mental health clinic. Additionally, I worked in a pilot program of the ARC (attachment/regulation/competency) model with children in the foster care system, as well as with refugees and unaccompanied minors seeking asylum. I left my practice for some time to raise my children, and in my role as a parent, I became fascinated with Internal Family Systems through the work of Dr. Becky Kennedy and her parenting support organization, Good Inside. There, trained as a Good Inside Mentor, I had the opportunity to support other parents and concurrently watch my own children blossom with the use of IFS and the language of parts. I was amazed with how becoming more aware of my own parts and developing a relationship with them positively impacted my parenting and being as a whole. In my practice I strive to bring this awareness and healing to others.
